SASSA will probably be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is actually alarmed in regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The company stage designed for intervention experiences a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it challenging with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this here reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
